BlueGrass Miniature Schnauzers
Penelope / Cricket: Hey Richard! Just wanted to let you know that Cricket is doing wonderful and ajusting better
than I expected already. My lab and golden retirever were much more receptive to her that I expected, and although they still aren't too happy about her being here, they are tolerating her quite well and I'm sure will all be best buds before long. My cat is not too happy, but Cricket thinks she's lots of fun and chases her every chance she gets. LOL She was also quite amused by the chickens yesterday and kept going back trying to figure out what in the world they were.
My kids absolutely adore her. As soon as I got home with her, Makeena, the 1 year old, laid down on the floor with Cricket, Cricket climbed up on her and snuggled right up like they'd been best friends forever. Nathan, my 8 year old, played in the yard with Cricket most of the afternoon yesterday, giving her wagon rides and playing in the dirt. Cricket seems to be loving every minute of it. They were both worn out and ready for bed last night.
And speaking of bed, my husband tried to pretend all day Saturday that he really didn't like her, but by Saturday night, he apparently couldn't stand it anymore and ended up playing with her and taking her to bed with us. I knew he'd love her, but he has surprised even me. I found them snuggled in the recliner yesterday morning, and I think she already has her own special place in the truck.
All in all, she seems to be doing great and adjusting well, and I think she's going to be a perfect fit for our family. I'll send pictures soon, but thought you might want to know how her first weekend in her new home went.
Thanks again, Becky
Richard/Marilyn, Thank you so much, Jack, or "Gunner" the new name I have decided to call him once I met him, acutally his full name will be Jack Gunner, is an absolute gem so far....but then again I haven't tried crating him for sleep time yet so that could change things...ha ha ha.
Seriously, he is so sweet and slowly getting used to Milo and vice versa. Both are passed out right now in the living room as it has been a very eventful day. I have attached a fun photo of Milo and Gunner in a "face off". I promise to send more pictures as he grows and will definitely keep you updated on his "progress".
It should be a fun next couple of days, weeks, months and years watching him and Milo grow together. The lack of sleep and housebreaking frustrations will be worth every bottle of Nature's Miracle I go through....Gunner (Jack) has already had 2 little accidents, but we can nip that in the bud as quickly as possible, it is only his first day in the new home and it is all very overwhelming.
Thank you again, Please tell Jacque he is in perfect company and we LOVE him to death already. I officially have 2 shadows that follow me around everywhere and share my lap.
Have a great weekend !
Chandler, Milo and Gunner (Jack)
PUPPY STORIES
Patsy Ann is 18 months old and lives in Kentucky. She's a Potion & Remington puppy.
Click photos to enlarge.
It'a been a while since I gave you pictures of our girl. She is healthy and happy.
She loves to ride in the car as you can see in the on picture. She sits on my lap and looks out at everything.
My neighbor has a puppy named Trixie, a yorkie. She comes over most afternoons and plays. After all the activity, Patsy needs a nap. She likes to sleep with a stuffed schnauzer that we gave her. Hope you like the photos and hope all your dogs are doing great. Mary
